Breeding programmes

Helping halt species decline

Many of our animals across our zoos at Paignton and Newquay are part of breeding programmes to help increase ex-situ populations of different species in zoos and wildlife parks around the world, and to learn more about their behaviours.

We are involved in the EAZA Ex situ Programmes (EEP) for a range of species across our two zoos:
